Since I saw the Lian Li O11 Dynamic case a few years ago, I wanted to build one. It's a cool looking computer case with panoramic front and side glass panels showcasing everything inside. It's definitely an esthetic look, but that's what I wanted: a fun, cool-looking computer. The minimalist look of my BeQuiet Darkbase 700 is getting a bit boring.
These fishtank cases are pretty expensive so I've been waiting for a deal. That deal came about 2 months ago when I got a white Deepcool CH780 on sale. After that, the hunt for white components began.
I already have a cpu, mobo, and ddr5 ram from a 7700x combo I bought back in March, but I wanted a nice motherboard I can use for a long time. Because of that, I sold the basic mobo in the combo.
Despite my wish for a white motherboard, I couldn't get a good deal on it. Closest was a $180 GIGABYTE B650 Elite AX Ice during Prime Day. It was still too expensive.
I did get a few good deals from Prime Day, including the awesome Lian Li Galahad II Trinity AIO cooler for $70. I also got in on a crazy deal for the Asrock X670E Pro RS but it won't ship until September so I settled on a black MSI B650 MAG Wifi when it dropped to $140. The Asrock will be my long-term board as it supports PCIE5 and has a few other perks. That said, I might just sell it and put the money towards better RAM and a future upgrade to Ryzen 9000 series CPU.
I'm not done with the build, but here's what it looks like at the moment.

Glass panel still has wraps on and RGB not fully synced, but it's looking pretty good. The unlit fan is because the AIO hasn't been initialized in software. |
